📋 Summary
Add middle-click auto-scroll support to the main game view in LaunchBox.
❗ Problem
LaunchBox already supports normal mouse wheel scrolling, but users with large libraries may want a faster, more comfortable way to move through long game lists or grid views.
Many desktop applications and web browsers support middle-click auto-scroll, where clicking the mouse wheel enables continuous scrolling based on mouse movement.
💡 Proposal
Add middle-click auto-scroll support to the main center game view in LaunchBox.
When the user clicks the mouse wheel in the main view, LaunchBox should enter an auto-scroll mode. Moving the mouse up or down would scroll the library continuously until the user clicks again, presses Escape, or uses another cancel action.
This could optionally be supported in the left filter/sidebar panel as well, though the main game view is the most important area.
🧩 Use Cases
Quickly browse large game libraries
Scroll through box/grid views without repeatedly spinning the mouse wheel
Navigate long lists more comfortably with a mouse
Take better advantage of fast library scrolling performance
📦 Benefits
Improves mouse navigation
Makes large libraries easier to browse
Adds familiar desktop-style scrolling behavior
Helps showcase smooth scrolling performance in LaunchBox
⚠️ Considerations
Auto-scroll should be easy to cancel and should not interfere with normal middle-click behavior if that is used elsewhere. The Game Details panel likely does not need this behavior.
