New Platform: Bandai Playdia

Add Bandai Playdia as a platform within LaunchBox and the LaunchBox Games Database.

❗ Problem

Bandai Playdia was a Japanese CD-ROM console released in 1994 with a small but distinct library of interactive FMV and children’s titles.

Currently:

• Users may need to manually create the platform in LaunchBox

• Playdia titles may be grouped under custom or less accurate platforms

• Metadata and media management is less organized without a dedicated platform

• There is no standard platform entry for users to contribute to or scrape against

Because the Playdia library is finite and well documented, it is a good candidate for database completeness.

💡 Proposal

Add Bandai Playdia as an official platform in LaunchBox and the Games Database.

This would allow:

• Dedicated platform metadata

• Consistent organization across user collections

• Easier contribution and moderation of Playdia titles
